The inspiration behind this piece is my love for my Middle Eastern heritage and cultural beliefs. Traces of the Evil Eye are found throughout the Middle East, South Asia and even European countries. It is believed to be a symbol of protection against evil. The background is to pay tribute to geometric patterns found within Islamic and Arabian art throughout history. Finally, being able to use a digital medium for the piece helped me explore a modern approach to a well recognised and significant symbol. I’ll let you guess what the title of the piece refers to haha. This may possibly expand onto becoming a collection, so please, keep an eye out!
